V Gautham Navada, Founder & Director of ForthFocus, will serve as a resource person at the one-day Faculty Development Program titled “Embedding SDGs in Curriculum and Research.” The program is organised by the Department of Management, Undergraduate Programs, Acharya Bangalore B-School (ABBS), Bengaluru, in association with IQAC and the Research Centre.
The Faculty Development Program is scheduled for 23rd May 2026, Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM at BMR Auditorium, ABBS, Bengaluru. The program will be conducted in both online and offline modes.
As part of the program, V Gautham Navada will lead a session titled “From Awareness to Action: Embedding SDGs in Outcome-Based Higher Education.” The session will focus on how Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be meaningfully integrated into curriculum planning, academic delivery, student learning outcomes, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
The discussion comes at a time when higher education institutions are expected to prepare students not only for employment, but also for responsible decision-making, sustainable thinking, and real-world problem-solving. By connecting SDGs with Outcome-Based Education, the session will address how faculty members can make sustainability more practical, measurable, and relevant within academic delivery.
With over a decade of experience in digital solutions, entrepreneurship, WordPress, technology adoption, and industry-led learning, Navada brings a practical industry perspective to the conversation on sustainability in higher education. His work across business, government, healthcare, education, hospitality, and digital ecosystems gives the session an application-oriented lens, helping bridge academic frameworks with real-world implementation.
Speaking about the session, V Gautham Navada, Founder & Director of ForthFocus, said, “Sustainable Development Goals should not be treated as a separate academic topic. The program will also feature sessions by Mr. Aravind Warrier, Lead, Learning Business Partner at VOLVO AB, and Dr. Suma Singh, Registrar, Academics, Mount Carmel College, Autonomous. Their sessions will address teaching for sustainability, SDG impact evaluation, and the relevance of SDGs in shaping education and industry.
The program is being conducted under the patronage of Dr. B. Vijaypal Reddy, Chairman, ABBS; Mrs. Poornima Reddy, Managing Director, ABBS; Mr. Ajitesh Basani, Executive Director, Administration, ABBS; and Mr. Nakul Basani, Executive Director, Operations, ABBS.
The FDP is convened by Dr. Rajesh C, Principal, ABBS, and organised by Dr. C B Gopinath, Associate Professor, Department of Management, ABBS. Mr. Raghavendra K and Mr. Joswa Stalin S, Assistant Professors, Department of Management, ABBS, are serving as coordinators.
Acharya Bangalore B-School is a Bengaluru-based institution for management and interdisciplinary education. Established in 2008 under the Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust, ABBS offers programs in management, commerce, life sciences, and media and communication. The Department of Management, Undergraduate Programs, offers BBA and BBA Aviation Management programs with a focus on experiential learning, internships, industry interaction, and skill development.
